Florida SB 136 Must be voted DOWN

Senator Chris Smith has introduced SB 136 into the Florida Senate. This garbage bill is exactly how a government reacts. Senator Smith is attempting to dismantle the right and the ability for the citizens of Florida...and eventually the nation...to defend themselves from the thieves and criminals of our society. Sen. Smith is attempting to dismantle "Stand Your Ground" and even the consequences for protecting yourself and others.

SB 136 strips citizens of their rights. It permits police from arresting and detaining a person who uses deadly force WITHOUT the proof of unlawful activity! It REQUIRES law enforcement to invesitage, regardless of situation, and strips the current language that prevents the police from arresting, persecuting, or prosecuting without discovering probable cause.

SB 136 further states the justifiable use of force is no longer permitted if the shooter :

• originally initiated the encounter.
• leaves a place of safety
• pursues the other

The good Senator Smith is trying desperately to reverse the laws we floridians have fought for these many years.
